We are looking for a new board for Oma's Soup!

WILL YOU BE OUR NEW BOARD MEMBER AT OMA'S SOEP LEEUWARDEN?

Do you want to make a difference for the elderly, meet new people, and build something beautiful together? Then we are looking for you!

For Oma's Soep Leeuwarden, we are looking for enthusiastic new board members who want to dedicate themselves to offering the elderly more companionship, personal attention, and meaningful encounters. With our cooking days and home-delivery soup days, we bring people together and make a difference in the daily lives of the elderly.

As a board member, you get the chance to develop your own ideas, cultivate new skills, and contribute to a better society together with an enthusiastic team. Whether you are good at organizing, being creative, networking, or planning: there is a role that suits you!

WHAT POSITIONS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Chair

Are you someone who likes to maintain an overview and bring people together? As Chairperson, you manage the board, lead meetings, and keep an eye on shared goals. You also maintain contact with headquarters and local partners, such as community centers and day care facilities. You help the team achieve great results together!

Marketing

Are you creative and do you enjoy working with social media? As Marketing Manager, you will manage our Instagram and Facebook, create fun posts and stories, and monitor the inbox. You will also help keep volunteers engaged with updates and newsletters. You will ensure that more and more people get to know Oma's Soep Leeuwarden!

Events

Do you get energy from organizing and coming up with fun activities? As Events Manager, you devise and organize fun events for the elderly every quarter, such as bingo, dinner, or a games afternoon. Additionally, you try to bring our activities to the attention of the local press. You turn special moments into beautiful memories!

Volunteer Coordinator

Do you enjoy getting people excited and connecting them? As a Volunteer Coordinator, you recruit new volunteers and ensure there are enough people to make our activities possible. You maintain contact with volunteers, help them stay involved, and ensure everyone knows where and when they can get started. Thanks to you, together we can reach even more elderly people!

Senior Coordinator

Do you have a warm heart for the elderly and do you make connections easily? As an Elderly Coordinator, you are the point of contact for the seniors participating in our activities. You maintain personal contact, help involve new seniors in Oma's Soep, and ensure that their details and wishes are properly recorded. You also guide the Seniors Committee. You help ensure that seniors feel seen, heard, and welcome!

Treasurer

Are you organized and do you like to keep an overview? As treasurer, you keep track of income and expenses and ensure that the finances are in order. Additionally, you help set up local collaborations, for example with parties wishing to contribute vegetables or gifts. You also keep track of our materials and stock. In this way, you ensure that we can continue to organize our activities effectively!

WHY BECOME A BOARD MEMBER?

  • You make a real difference in the lives of the elderly.
  • You develop new skills and gain valuable experience.
  • You meet new people and work together towards a great goal.
  • You are given the space to implement your own ideas.
  • You build your CV with experience in, for example, organizing, collaborating, communication, leadership, or finance.
  • You contribute to enjoyable cooking days, special encounters, and beautiful memories.

You really don't have to know everything already! Motivation, enthusiasm, and the willingness to dedicate yourself to others are the most important things. Together we will learn and make it a great year on the board!
